Background: Lord Canis is the chief assassin of the Mogtherian Imperial Remnant. Mogtherian's live span is twice as long as humans, they do reach adulthood at the same time as humans, making him a young adult during the Magi War. He fought brilliantly during the Magi War from the shadows but Aramil's poor leadership lead to their defeat. The empire was in ruins after Aramil's defeat. The remaining Mogtherian citizen's of the empire grew unhappy with Aramil and started flocking to a new leader in Gallus. Canis was no different, unbeknown to Aramil who had great faith in Canis' loyalty. Gallus promised him lordship and a place on the imperial council once Aramil was out of the picture. So on one night, Canis decided to take advantage of a dinner invitation to lace Emperor Aramil's food with chocolate, a poison to the Mogtherian. Due to the high dosage of chocolate Aramil consumed, he died that night due to a heart-attack. With the people already flocking to Gallus, his ascension to the Imperial Throne was by all means unresisted. In better terms, it was cheered. Gallus, pleased with Lord Canis' loyalty, gave him everything he promised and then some. Due to Lord Canis' handiwork, he was placed as leader of the Imperial Black Army, the branch dedicated to espionage and terrorist activities. The Imperial Black Army is the most powerful and largest military force of the Empire since its fall after the war. Any and all external affairs are dealt through it. With the responsibility of leading the Black Army, he also has been placed as successor to the Imperial Throne, as tradition dictates that the most powerful military leader should take it. Lord Canis' loyalty to the new Emperor is unshaken and steadfast. He knows Gallus is the key to his own ascension to the throne. He also knows Gallus in his current state is far to powerful to force off the throne.
Role-Playing Sample:
There is a man in a black cloak sitting at a table in a dimly lit bar. His hood is up and you can not see his face. He just sits there as though he is waiting for something or someone. He takes a sip of his ale as a man in a tan cloak, hood also up walks over to the table and sits next to him. The man in the tan cloak looks at him awaiting for some news.
"I have good news and I have bad news, your lordship. The ambassador is dead."
A smile crosses the Noble's face as he hears the good news. However, the smile fades as he looks at the man in the black cloak waiting to hear the bad news.
"And now, the bad news." The man takes his hood off revealing his dog-like face to the Noble. "Yes, the Mogtherian's have not died off. Do not be so surprised. But I did promise some bad news."
With one quick fluid motion, the dog-man jabs his dagger directly into the Noble's heart and twists and pulls it out.
"The bad news is that you, too, are dead." He gets up, wipes the blood off of the dagger and walks out of the bar putting his hood back over the head.
