Character Info
Name/Nickname: Gallus/Emperor/Emperor Gallus
Age: 96
Race: Mogtherian (Humanoid Dog Species)
Gender: Male
Appearance: 5'8" 175lbs. Gray and Tan fur. Blue Glowing Eyes. Golden Tattoo between his eyes that enhances his magical power. Usually wears a blue robe inside the Imperial Keep, but is known to travel with a brown cloak concealing his dogmanish form.
Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Abilities: Gallus has traveled the world to find new forms of magic, masters them, and usually kills those who know it so he becomes all powerful without the threat of someone who knows how to stop him. His great power and vast diversity of spells always keeps his enemies on their toes, however, most do not survive the encounter. Most recently, he's delved into the relationship of magical energies and the human mind. He now knows how to manipulate individuals and groups in mob like situations to do his bidding. He can't control people with strong minds though, without throughly barraging them in torturous magical attack on their mind weakening them to the influence. But once he takes control, they have extreme difficulty getting it back. He has also learned to do this through his 'puppets'.
Background: Once the Grand General of Canis Legio, the Military of the Empire, he had great influence in the Empire. His thirst for magical power made him extremely power hungry and would convince and manipulate Emperor Aramil to give him orders to attack the peoples that held such power in order to steal their secrets and and to gain control of them so they will never turn against the empire. The final battle in which the 16 rebels defeated Gallus led to the collapse of the Empire. The Mogtherian then went into hiding in the desert. The Mogtherian people became angry and threatened to join the former rebels so that they live in a peaceful society with actual homes, not caves. Gallus saw this was his chance to gain the throne of the empire and began to spread propaganda. He blamed Aramil for not sending enough reinforcements so that he could have defeated the rebels. The propaganda claimed that Emperor Aramil kept a large force to defend him so he may escape instead of lending them to Gallus so that he might defeat the enemies instead of having to escape and go into hiding. This raised a lot of questions with the Magtherian people as well as made Gallus more of a war hero whose defeat was the result of the Emperor's cowardice. Through these meetings with the people, Gallus came across Canis. Canis was listening to the meeting and afterwards threatened Gallus to strike him down and/or alert the Emperor of Gallus' dealings. It was there that Gallus told Canis that the Emperor was secretly meeting with King Miles, which he was not, and was plotting the surrender of the Empire. Gallus went on to explain of a plan that he had if Canis would help him in which he told Canis that the people wanted a new Emperor who would not be afraid to lead his people in another war against Miles to regain control of what was rightfully the Empires. He told him the people would elevate Gallus to Emperor if Aramil was done away with. This planted a seed of doubt in Canis, which didn't begin to blossom until Aramil was seen with a human in secret later on. Canis didn't hear the discussion, which was a spy for Aramil on King Miles, so he assumed that Aramil was discussing terms of the surrender. That night, Canis took Gallus' advice and murdered Gallus. Gallus explained what 'noble' Canis did and took the throne the next day and elevated Canis to General of the Imperial Black Army. He also named Canis as his successor to the throne and gave him title of Lord. Gallus then claimed to have found an ancient keep underground, which in reality he secretly built under the Emperor's nose, and claimed it as the new Imperial Keep in which the Mogtherian's would no longer have to live in caves. He then proclaimed that the keep will be their new Imperial capital until the time that they have control of Fargo. He made the underground caves well hidden by magic from the outside so that only those of Magtherian blood can find it. This solidified his rule with of the Mogtherians and made the Mogtherians completely loyal to the Imperial throne once again. From there on, he plotted ways to bring down the rebels of old. He knew that the empire was too weak for a direct military strike, so he knew he could count on his most loyal minion to lead the black army in covert operations to overthrow King Miles.
Role-Playing Sample:
Gallus steps onto the balcony overlooking the Imperial Underground City and calls out to the residence who were waiting for his words.
"Good people of the Empire, I have found this place for you! This is the first step for rise of the Empire! No more shall a member of my Empire live in a cave! All shall have their own homes! No more shall the Empire have incompetent leaders! I will bring victory! No more shall Miles and Kovu rule these lands! The Empire shall take back what is rightfully theirs! The time of prosperity is now! Good people of the Empire, all I ask of you is to Serve the Empire, and by doing so, you Serve me! Serve Me, and you serve your empire! As I speak right now to you now, I have sent Lord Canis to Fargo to start the wheels of change into motion! Soon Miles will be overthrown. Soon Fargo will be ours! Good people of the Empire, the time is short until you will no longer be living in this Glorious Keep, but in Fargo!"
Thunderous applause and cheering reverberates from the crowd below as Gallus soaks it all in. He waves and returns back inside to the throne to await word from Canis about his successful mission.
