Back in a time Before the Mostly peaceful civilizations that is Xar as we know it, the God Xarthus, in Coalition with the other Gods took the ruin that was left by the warring of the previous civilization and compacted the the desolation and ruin into what is now known as the Old Kingdom, which is inhabited by deformed mutants, the remainder of a civilization wrought with War and Famine, and Chaos.
Now you see before you a wonderfully Diverse planet, with islands and continents full of lush forests, a Multitude of animals, and vast expanse of oceans and landscapes; populated with a diverse repetoir of races. Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Giants, Orcs, Goblins, and many many others.
